The myth tells that Acamante, an Achaean warrior present at the time of the capture of Troy, rescues his beloved and his little son from the burning city. Despite the war, he manages to make room for love and what it generates. We wanted to call our Perricone this because it represents a link with the past, being among the oldest varieties grown in our area, but above all because it is a courageous wine with a strong personality.

Very late variety, it adapts very well to the environment of origin, where it manages to reach optimal ripeness. The grapes are harvested by hand and transported to the cellar in small baskets. They are then de-stemmed and the naturally fermented must is added (prepared in the previous days with grapes from the same vineyard). Fermentation proceeds for about 12 days at a temperature of 27 ° C. At the end the marcs are separated and pressed. After malolactic fermentation, which also occurs spontaneously, the wine ages for the winter in steel and transferred to oak barrels for a year.
